Selena Gomez Gets Emotional Over Illegal Immigrants, As Social Media Floods With Memes

Selena Gomez posted and quickly deleted an emotional video reacting to immigration enforcement sweeps launched by the Trump administration, which led to over 1,000 arrests nationwide.

The Mexican-American actress tearfully expressed sorrow, saying, “All my people are getting attacked” and vowed to help.

She added, “I’m sorry,” alongside a Mexican flag emoji. Later, she posted a now-deleted follow-up stating, “Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people.”

Border czar Tom Homan criticized Gomez on Fox News, questioning why she wasn’t emotional about fentanyl-related deaths or children killed or trafficked. The Trump administration's operation targeted public safety and national security threats, with over 1,100 arrests reported by ICE.

Actions occurred in several states and territories, involving multiple agencies, including Homeland Security and the Justice Department. Gomez has not addressed the controversy further.
