UGANDAN ARSENAL FAN SHOT DEAD WHILE CELEBRATING WIN OVER MANCHESTER UNITED

A 30-year-old Arsenal fan, John Ssenyonga, was tragically shot dead by a security guard while celebrating the team's 2-0 victory over Manchester United in Uganda. The incident occurred at a restaurant in Lukaya town, approximately 100 kilometers from Kampala, during the match's final moments.

Another Arsenal supporter, Lawrence Mugejera, sustained injuries in the shooting and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The security guard, who allegedly opened fire on a crowd of jubilant fans, and the restaurant manager are both on the run.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation, with the regional police spokesperson, Twaha Kasirye, urging anyone with information to come forward. He also appealed to football fans to celebrate responsibly and avoid such tragic events.

This is the second Arsenal-related fatality in Uganda in recent months. In October, 22-year-old Benjamin Okello was killed following an argument over the team's 2-2 draw with Liverpool.
