The October 7/23 Hamas terror attack marked one of the darkest day in the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, claiming numerous lives, including civilians and soldiers. Many Israeli soldiers fought valiantly to defend their nation against the unexpected assault, with some sacrificing their lives to save others. Tragically, many were killed, held captive, or lost in the chaos of the unprecedented attack, which caused Israel to put into turmoil and triggered further escalation of the conflict on Gaza.
Captain Eden Nimri, together with her team, conducted a battle against the terrorists who infiltrated the Nahal Oz outpost and eliminated many of them. Eden, with her courage, managed to save the lives of several female soldiers who were hiding with her in the shelter by protecting them with her body and paying for it with her life.

At the time of the terrorist attack on Kibbutz Kfar Aaza, First Sergeant Ofir Shoshani was at home. She contacted her childhood friends from the kibbutz and wrote to them on WhatsApp that she had been shot, that she had been wounded in the hand, and that she needed help. They tried to send rescue forces to her, but in vain. Ofir's father tried to reach her with a weapon, but he was repelled by the terrorists' fire and was wounded. Ofir managed to say goodbye to her friends and wrote them the words of farewell: "Let you know that I love you".

Alina was on duty at the Urim base On the morning of October 7th. She was armed and conducted the battle in the war room that the terrorists tried to enter. She managed to eliminate a group of terrorists but fell in battle when a grenade was thrown at her.

Eden was the commander of young trainees at the Zikim base, she demonstrated unparalleled leadership and dedication. When the attack began, Eden was the first to step forward, putting herself in harm’s way to protect those under her care.
She fought valiantly, with unwavering determination, until her very last bullet. Because of her immense courage and sacrifice, the lives of 100 young trainees were saved.

There are still 100s of soldiers who have murdered by Hamas terrorist on Oct 7 attack till present and the list goes on. As Israel mourns its losses and reflects on its response, the incident underscores the urgent need for strategies to prevent further escalation and protect innocent lives.
