IDF Destroyed Underground Missile Factory Used By Hezbollah

Israel defense forces destroyed a underground missile factory operating in Syrian hills near Lebanon border. This factory is reported to be operated by Iran and was main source of arms supply to Hezbollah.

Israel Govt. is keeping a silent over it and not claiming responsibility as not to provoke a retaliatory action by Syria, Iran and Hezbollah.

The destruction of the factory gave a severe blow to Iran and Hezbollah's efforts to produce medium-range precision missiles on Syrian territory.

Sources said that the Iranians decided to build an underground factory deep inside a mountain in Masyaf(Syria) so that it could not be penetrated by Israeli air strikes.

Israeli intelligence services discovered the factory some five years ago and monitored it for five years under the code name "Deep Layer". It was realized that the factory could not be destroyed with an airstrike and the forces would need a ground operation to destroy it, said by Israeli sources.

The Israeli military considered conducting the operation at least twice in recent years but it wasn't approved because of the high risk, sources said.

Finally in a risky ground operation special forces of Israel used explosives they brought with them in order to blow up the underground facility including sophisticated machinery. The special forces also collected important documents from the site. To cover the ground operation, air strikes were done by IDF to prevent the Syrian military from sending reinforcements to the area.

Israel very cleverly and secretly cutting the wings of Iran and its proxy Forces like Hamas, Hezbollah etc. The missile factory running in the hills of Syria was an underground and hidden factory. This factory at the border of Lebanon was the main source of weapon for Hezbollah and said to be making unconventional war fares like chemical, radiological and biological weapons also.
