After The Temporary Ceasefire, Relief Trucks Entered Gaza; Israeli Tanks Also Began To Withdraw

After the temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, humanitarian aid trucks have entered southern Gaza from Rafah Crossing. The truce is expected to facilitate the release of prisoners and detainees.

According to Reuters, Israeli tanks have been seen withdrawing from northern Gaza after the temporary ceasefire, with no reports of aerial bombardment, rocket attacks, or ground clashes since the beginning of the ceasefire.

In the Khan Yunis area of southern Gaza, a large number of people have evacuated from shelters and homes, leading to congestion on roads.

The implementation of the agreements reached between the two parties was scheduled to begin on Thursday morning after efforts from Qatar, the United States, and Egypt. However, Israel's National Security Adviser, Sagi Ingber, announced a one-day delay in the implementation without providing any reason.

Qatar's Foreign Ministry, a mediator in the conflict, stated that lists of prisoners and detainees have been exchanged between the two parties. According to Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majid Al-Ansari, 13 women and children held by Hamas will be released in the first phase on Friday afternoon. However, he did not specify how many Palestinians in Israeli custody would be released in return.

According to the Associated Press, authorities have stated that in exchange for each released detainee, three Palestinian prisoners will be set free.

Under the agreement, during the four-day ceasefire, Hamas will release 50 detainees, while Israel will release 150 Palestinian prisoners. Among those being released are women and children under the age of 19.

According to a spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the delivery of aid to Gaza will soon commence, and it is hoped that this agreement will contribute to the cessation of hostilities.

According to Reuters, the Israeli military has indicated that military officers will remain within the ceasefire line in Gaza. However, they did not clarify the positions of Israeli troops.

Hamas has also stated that no action will be taken during the ceasefire. Abu Ubaida, a spokesperson for Hamas, said in a video message that there will be an ongoing temporary ceasefire against Israeli forces on all fronts.

Egypt, which is assisting in brokering the temporary ceasefire, has mentioned that during the ceasefire, 130,000 liters of diesel and gas will be delivered to Gaza daily through Rafah Crossing. In addition, 200 trucks of relief supplies will be sent to Gaza every day.

On the other hand, Israel conducted an aerial strike on a residential building in the Nusseirat camp in central Gaza on Thursday, resulting in the death of at least 12 people.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, Israeli bombardment entered Gaza for the seventh week, leading to the death of approximately 13,300 Palestinians so far.

It is noteworthy that after Hamas launched an unexpected attack on Israel on October 7, killing about 1,200 people and injuring around 240, according to Israeli authorities, Israel declared a military operation in Gaza and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formed a war cabinet for this purpose.
